Golden Chariot, the luxury train owned by Karnataka Tourism (KSTDC) commenced operations in 2008 and has been promoting various sites of tourist interest in Karnataka and other neighboring states. The train features 10 guest carriages, 72 passengers maximum capacity, two fine dining restaurants with seating capacity of 36 in each, Bar, Spa, Business Center and a Mini Gymnasium.

The British Pullman luxury train operates from London Victoria Station, sometimes with a steam engine. For example, Minerva has Edwardian-type marquetry, Zena was used in the film ‘Agatha’, while Perseus was reserved for Royalty, visiting Heads of State and as Winston Churchill’s funeral carriage.
